Chinese New Year Special Koi Fish Crystal Dumpling
Dumpling is originally from China and become
more popular across the world. Dumpling is a small bite-size wrap filling with
meat and vegetables. It can be savory or sweet and they may be prepared using a
variety of methods including boiling, steaming, or frying. You can eat the
dumpling with sauce which made of light soya sauce, rice vinegar, salt, and ginger.
To add spiciness to it, you can add red chili.
Step 1 : Dumpling fillings
Minced chicken
Chopped onion
Chopped ginger
Chopped garlic
Grated carrot
Grated sweet turnip
Sliced scallion
1 teaspoon Crushed white pepper
1 tablespoon light soya sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
Salt
Method
Mix it and let it rest for 30 minutes
Step 2 : Dumpling dough:-
Ingredients:-
120g Wheat flour
30g Tapioca flour
Salt
Boiling water
Methods
Mix the dry ingredients and add boiling water.
Stir it with spoon or chopsticks
Cover with wet cloth and set aside for 10mins
1 tsp cooking oil
Knead the dough for 10-15mins and let it rest
for 5mins
Cut into one small portion
Add red and orange food color powder
Knead until the color is even
Stick the red dough in the front, back, left,
right, top and bottom of white dough
Flatten it
Roll the dough into circle
Wrap in the filling
Step 3 : Dumpling Sauce:-
Ingredients:-
Chopped scallion
Chopped ginger
Chopped red chili (optional)
2 tablespoon light soya sauce
1 ½ tablespoon rice vinegar
Salt
Water
Methods
Mix all the above
ingredients.
