Flavored Ghee Rice Recipe | How To Make Ghee Rice
Easy to make this rice but delicious in festivals and party.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes
Serving for 4-5 people
1st Step : Soaking basmati rice
Clean and Soak basmati rice in the water for 1 hour. After soaking, remove the water
In another bowl, add water (every cup of rice add 1 ½ glass of water) and salt. Mix it well and leave aside
Ingredients used in GHEE Rice
Oil
Ghee
1 medium size tomato
3 green chilies
2-3 cinnamon sticks
2-3 star anise
3 bay leaves
3 cloves
3 cardamom
Salt
2 medium size onions
Fried onion
Method:
• Heat the pan, add 2 tablespoon oil and 3 tablespoon ghee
• Add cinnamon sticks, star anise, bay leaves, cloves, cardamom one by one and saute
• Once you can feel the nice aroma, add onion and green chilies. Saute until golden color
• Add tomato and saute for 1 minute.
• Add soaked basmati rice and mix it well.
• Transfer the rice into rice cooker and add the mixture of water & salt
• Add 2 tablespoon of ghee and mix it well
• Cook it for 15minutes
• Sprinkle the fried onion and 1 tablespoon of ghee on the top of rice
You can eat the ghee rice with veg & non-veg curry.
