Kekda/Crab Masala Recipe:
Crab Masala is a delicious crab dish
Crab Masala Paste Ingredients:
* 1 big onion
* Fresh grated coconut
* 4-5 dry red chillies
* 1 tbsp coriander seeds
* 1 tsp pepper corns
* 2-3 cardamom
* 5-6 small cinnamon sticks
Method:
• Heat a pan and dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, red chilies, pepper corn, cinnamon sticks and cardamom.
• Once they start releasing their aroma, add little oil and chopped onions and saute until the onion turns golden in colour.
• Add some grated coconut and cook till it gets brown
• Make a paste of these ingredients in the blender and keep aside.
Crab Masala Ingredients:
* 600gm crab
* 1 medium size onion
* 3 green chili
* Tomato puree
* 1 small cup coconut milk
* 1 ½ tbls chili powder
* Salt
* ½ tbls turmeric powder
* 1 ½ tbls garam masala
Method:
• Add some oil in a hot pan add onions, green chilies, salt and saute until it turns golden colour.
• Add ginger garlic paste
• Add turmeric powder, garam masala, chili powder and mix it
• To this, add 1 cup tomato puree and mix it well.
• If the masala is too thick, you can add bit of water
• Add 3 tablespoon of the masala paste
• Add 2 glasses of water and let it cook
• Add the crab now and mix it. Let it cook for about 10-12 mins until the crab is cooked.
• Add light coconut milk to the mixture and mix it well.
• Sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame
